One of our favorite things about Sonrise is hearing from people who’ve been touched by something they heard on the show. Whether it’s a song that made an impact on your life, or a story that someone shared, it’s great to know that it’s helped in some way, so if there is something that has touched you in a special way, we’d love to hear about it. Everybody has a story, and we’d love to hear yours.

Amy Bockerstette is the first person with Down syndrome to receive a college athletic scholarship, and was the first Arizona student with Down syndrome to play in the state high school playoff. Recently, Amy showed up at TPC Scottsdale to support last year’s Phoenix Open champ, Gary Woodland, and nine-time PGA Tour winner Matt Kuchar, as they practiced for the Arizona tournament. They asked her if she wanted to hit a few balls, and of course Amy said yes, so she teed it up on the famous 16th hole. The first shot went into the sand trap, but she easily hit the ball within feet of the hole on the second shot. When Amy sank the putt for a par, the crowd went nuts, and you can see it for yourself!  Gary Woodland went on to say, "I’ve never rooted so hard for somebody on a golf course!"
