One of our favorite things about Sonrise is hearing from people who’ve been touched by something they heard on the show. Whether it’s a song that made an impact on your life, or a story that someone shared, it’s great to know that it’s helped in some way, so if there is something that has touched you in a special way, we’d love to hear about it. Everybody has a story, and we’d love to hear yours.

dadslastwishtodanceA video of the traditional father-daughter wedding-reception dance went viral on Facebook when it showed a bride dancing with her dad, who uses a wheelchair. Mary Bourne Butts led her father, Jim Roberts, around the dance floor to Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" in a moving dance at her wedding in Point Clear, AL. The two used to dance around the kitchen to it when she was a kid, and they agreed that this would be the song they danced to at her wedding. That moment finally happened this past December 29. Unfortunately, Jim was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an incurable brain cancer, in May of 2017 but he was able to be at his daughter's special day. Sadly, Mary’s dad Jim passed away on January 10. /p>
