A teenage pizzeria employee has shown, once again, that a small act of kindness can have a major impact. 18 year old Dalton Shaffer is the manager of Steve's Pizza in Battle Creek, MI. A few weeks ago, he got a call from a man telling him his daughter and son in law used to live in Battle Creek, and how much they love Steve’s Pizza. He also told Dalton that the family had plans to visit soon and planned to get what they call the best pizza they’ve ever had. Unfortunately, his son in law Richard’s battle with cancer was coming to an end and they wouldn’t be able to make the trip. The man asked if Dalton could send his condolences in a card or text to the Morgan’s on behalf of the pizzeria that's always held such a special place in their hearts. But Dalton did way more than that. When he closed up at 10 pm that night, he delivered two of the couple's favorite pies to them… 230 miles away! He pulled into the driveway in Indianapolis, Indiana, at 2:30 am and the family was waiting up for him. Richard gave him a big hug for doing what he did. Sadly, Richard passed away a week later.
