Congratulations to 33-year-old Emma Anderson! She just got her art work featured in the world renown Tate Modern Museum. That may not be a big deal for many, but it’s special for Emma because she was born with Down syndrome. Emma’s mom Mirka said when Emma was born, the doctors said, “You don’t have to take her home because she won’t do anything anyway.” Emma proved them all wrong by graduating from secondary school with a degree in fine arts, and continued her education at Cambridge Regional College. Emma’s mom made a documentary about her life, and hopes the accomplishment will raise awareness for people living with Down syndrome. See the video story and learn more about Emma.
