One of our favorite things about Sonrise is hearing from people who’ve been touched by something they heard on the show. Whether it’s a song that made an impact on your life, or a story that someone shared, it’s great to know that it’s helped in some way, so if there is something that has touched you in a special way, we’d love to hear about it. Everybody has a story, and we’d love to hear yours.

rooftoprewardThis is the time of year when a lot of schools have fundraisers that include selling wrapping paper, cakes, cookies and other fun stuff, but one school principal had to spend the night on the roof thanks to their fundraiser! Actually, Steven Vercellino, principal of Forest Elementary School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, did it to himself by telling students if they reached the $20,000 goal, he’d spend the night on the roof. Well, they did it… and he did it! Steven brought a tent, sleeping bag, nightstand, lamp and a heater up to the roof with him. His staff brought him a pizza, and other visitors brought him coffee and hot chocolate. And the kids came to visit him that night too! They found a way to turn an ordinary fundraiser into something fun for everyone. And it was all caught on video!
