One of our favorite things about Sonrise is hearing from people who’ve been touched by something they heard on the show. Whether it’s a song that made an impact on your life, or a story that someone shared, it’s great to know that it’s helped in some way, so if there is something that has touched you in a special way, we’d love to hear about it. Everybody has a story, and we’d love to hear yours.

cortellowheelsIn June of 2009, Kaden Cortello was born with a rare brain malformation called Dandy-Walker Syndrome. As a result, he has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk or speak. He’s also been diagnosed with a type of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut. Due to all of this, Kaden spends most of his time in his wheelchair. When he’s home, he can "roll" with the best of them! But Kaden needs numerous types of specialized equipment to keep him functional and able to get around. He is eight years old now, and as he grows bigger, it’s harder and harder to load him safely into a vehicle. The family needs a wheelchair van, and if you feel led to do so, you can help on their Go Fund Me page. Kaden’s mom says “We are so blessed to have such a happy child with an infectious smile! I truly believe people are changed for the better when they are around him!”
